Twas the night before Christmas
\nin #1 Engine room,
\nThe Rover not cleaning
\nNor the SMO with a broom.<\/p>\n
The Shutdown RO
\nwas asleep in his chair.
\nIn hopes that the EDO
\nwould never come there.<\/p>\n
When on upper level
\nThere arose such a clatter.
\nI awoke from my slumber
\nto check on the matter.<\/p>\n
Much to my surprise
\nWhat did I see?
\nThe engineer and CO
\nJust smiling at me.<\/p>\n
Said the engineer with gusto
\nAll full of himself.
\n“Your butt’s in a sling!”
\n“Your life’s on the shelf!”<\/p>\n
Off to Captains Mast
\nwhere I must accept my fate.
\nThe results of which
\nI’m sure I will hate.<\/p>\n
30 days restricted
\nand half a months pay.
\nOuch! That is painful.
\nMust be ‘nother way!<\/p>\n
On the way to extra duty
\nI wonder ’bout my luck.
\nCigarette butts? Good Lord!
\nThis truely does suck!<\/p>\n
As I walk down the brow
\nfor my sentence to begin.
\nmy thoughts forever run to:
